National Refrigeration installed my furnace and central air new seven years this coming September. Since I signed for a service contract whereas they come twice yearly, spring and fall readying the furnace/air for the season. There service has been on time and without concern until recently. Early spring, right after the tech visited I phoned National Refrigeration inquiring into the condition of the outside coils on my central air. Each year prior the tech put some fluid on them and they looked like new. This year they remained dull, stained like. Their service said someone would phone me back which did not happen. Two weeks ago when I went down to my basement I noticed water flowing down the walls. I checked for leaks in the water pipe and could not find anything however the sil was wet as was the insulation. I called my plumber who came over and checked his work for leaks inside and out and could not find anything. Then he went outside and checked the air conditioner and fount the insulation on the freon coils from the air conditioner into the house was deteriorated. You could actually see the coils. The insulation was rotted "like". Where the pipe went into the house was and headed downward was full of condensation sweating up beads of water thus following the pipe depositing its wetness on the house sil, insulation, thus the water on the wall. I went out and got some electric putty and filled the hole preventing water/condensation from entering. Paid my plumber and promptly phoned National Refrigeration service relating the above story and asking what am I getting in terms of service when this preventable occurrence happens? They said that the service manager was not in and would phone me on Monday. Today is Friday following that Monday and no word from National Refrigeration Representative. Good products however in my opinion, be wary of their service abilities.
I do not write review often. But This organization is top notch! I needed a gas furnace and AC replacement and did a fair amount of research on different systems and cost. I went to two other companies to get estimates before going to National. I prefer talking to people face to face and went to their location in Warwick, RI. My initial meeting was with a service supervisor, Brian K. Great first impression, Brian was courteous, professional and informative. He encouraged me to describe what my desires were in a new system and walked me through several pros and cons of the options available. He was definitely not trying to sell me on the highest end models and was more concerned about me being informed on potential decisions. Several days later Brian came out to the house to perform the estimate. Again, he was very informative as we discussed different options and expectations and got me a proposal within a day. National’s quote came in lower than the others and when dealing with their support department Doreen was professional, a pleasure to deal with. Solid customer service you wish you got from every company. On the day of installation Brian, Sean D. and Rito S. performed the work. I mean they worked… I am a details person and these guys paid attention to the details. The epitome of professional and quality. Hey National Refrigeration, give these guys a raise. Semper Fi, Joe
Ryan is the best service representative that I have met. On his first visit, he concisely outlined my air conditioning system issues and presented the best solution. Ryan and coworkers, Shawn, Rito, and Jared, returned to upgrade my system. All were professional and completed the installation on a timely schedule. I will use National for all my heating and AC needs and I will ask for Ryan every time.
We have been with National Refrigeration for over 15 years and had many routine and other calls over that time period. This appointment with Ryan Hanrahan had to have been our best. He was efficient, informative, very professional and pleasant. Thank you Ryan and hope to see you again.
The men came on time, provided the proper work needed, were polite, cleaned up after themselves, took away refuse and gave an accurate cost of fees to be charged,would difinately recommend this company to any one and Doreen is always polite, pleasant and returns calls as promised.
Sean Donahue arrived on time and was very knowledgable and professional. He took the time to explain some of the maintenance tasks he was doing to keep my air conditioner units running well and gave me a thorough report of his service work. Thank you!
Very happy with the service Sean provided for our Air Conditioner units. He was quite thorough and very good at explaining the work he was doing. We had to wait 3 weeks for an open appointment, but besides that was very happy with the service!!

Best customer service of any HVAC company ever! Honest, and very professional. So glad I finally found them! Sean was excellent and took extra time to educate me about my system and its maintenance.
