HORRIBLE!!!! Like other people whose reviews I have read, the customer service rep is great, but every time I call I am given different information, including something as basic as what the hours of customer service are. They told me my eligibility was in question even though they had cashed my premium check weeks before the January 1 start date, but failed to inform me of the eligibility problem even though I had called repeatedly because I kept getting emails that my premium was overdue. The eligibility problem continued for weeks, and they would not tell me why exactly the eligibility was in question. The elusive "eligibility department" could not be spoken to directly, and it could take weeks for them to give information, I was told. Like the Wizard of Oz. And forget information about the coverage - I have spoken to two supervisors, both of whom have given me false information, never called back, never called by the health care navigator that was kind enough to try to help me with the situation. This company is intentionally misleading consumers, I believe, and I am cancelling my coverage with them while I still can sign up with another plan.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I had a disruption in my checking account services which interrupted my direct payments. I tried to fix the problem over the phone was directed to send a check. i sent the check and after 30 days it still had not been cashed and they terminated my health insurance. I called to try to fix this problem and was told the only this could happen is if I gave them the routing # to my checking account which they already have. i told them i would check to be sure I had the coverage for the balance . When i called back they told me the problem could not be corrected in that manner. There was no one else i could direct my concerns to. I was told it would take 2 days 2 days to get a call back. Must have a lot of complaints. I was then directed to the exchanges that I could not under any circumstances reinstate my account. They have no record of my check. So now I need a different insurance company and the payment to stop payment on my missing check. I will be sure the department of insurance is aware of the callous way i was treated.

Oscar health insurance, has actually been my hell. If it seems to good to be true, it is. I was excited to find a cheaper alternative to health insurance, but after a few doctors visits (eye doctor for routine check up, general physician) I have received so many bills letting me know that basically nothing is covered under oscar. Truly, I would have saved money not paying oscar, and going to these doctors, than the $2,000 I am now paying to doctors, that is not covered at all by oscar. I have switched to pay the $100 more a month, to save myself the current pain that I am experiencing right now paying doctors for bills that are normally covered by most insurances. Do not, whatever you do, go with Oscar.

Services have deteriorated. My physicians/service providers have dropped Oscar because their payments to the Drs./Services are so low. Fortunately, because of my relationships, my providers have allowed me to stay in their practice. One of the best hospitals in NYC (NY Presbyterian) has dropped Oscar. My premium is higher than ever. So disappointed with Oscar. I would opt out today, if I could. The appeal process for a hospital stay, approved by the physician I had, was ridiculous. The hospital was denied payment and no one bothered to ask me what happened. And, in fact, the auditor made assumptions that were totally speculative. A joke! The physician should have faced consequences.

Oscar offers virtually no coverage and has a very sparse network. To make matters worse they released news that they were slashing their network for 2017 simultaneous to the letter informing clients of serious premium hikes (mine went up a little over 330%) and they even raised the deductible by several hundred dollars to put a nice bow on it. Naturally I switched providers for 2017 and would suggest that others do the same. Clearly the company was designed to cash in on the ACA and they must have miscalculated. There are better choices out there for freelancers and others in similar circumstances; good luck.

Nahla O. Was incredible. Unfortunatley I tried to get health insurance through the nationalstateofhealth website and somehow accidentally signed up for Medicare which I did NOT want. Long story short, and this was before open enrollment, it is impossible to un-sign up for Medicare. BUT Nahla fought for me so hard, she seriously spent three hours with me on the phone talking to different people trying to help me out. She was great and if the other people working at this company are half as competent as she is then I would highly recommend.

My daughter is paying $180.48 a month Her deductible is $6,600 meaning if her medical bills is under $6,600 she must pay the doctor and hospital bills for non serious illness. So besides of her paying the bills under the $6,600 deductible she is also paying $180.48 monthly. Obama Care makes health Insurance Companies like OSCAR a legitimately scamming and defraud hard working and underpaid Americans. I advice her since she cannot afford this "legitimate scam" is to cancel her insurance with Oscar and just do the "pay as you go healthcare"

Be Warned - Oscar is without a doubt the worst insurance EVER! For the same price as Blue Cross / Blue Shield you get access to very few doctors (most of which are inconveniently located), and if you go to the emergency room you pay the FULL amount until your deductible is met. Additionally while it says they will cover urgent care visits, I have yet to find an urgent care that will actually accept Oscar. This should be illegal!

First let me say, I do not write reviews. However with that said- this company has the poorest customer service I ever seen. They are dismissive, bordering on rude and not well trained at all. Several times I was given different info for the same question depending who I was speaking with. I canceled my policy and the best advice I can give you is run away from Oscar as fast as you can.

(Tiny note: there was some outdate information on some of the doctors that I looked up - just be sure to call the doctor and confirm their address etc. if you make an appointment.)

So far so good. I dont like that your entire physical is not covered. (Apparently some tests are considered diagnostic or preventative). Why cant whatever happens at your annual physical just be covered? Simple enough. Everything else seems cool though.
