I was visiting New Hampshire from Georgia last week and wanting a place to take my grandmother in-law to lunch while meeting family from Ohio. I had been wanting to try Harold Square as that is the place to get Gourmet Cupcake Creations by Susie at the same time! We were not disappointed! The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was great! We had sandwiches (roast beef, fish, and the nitro and Serrano chicken) and the salmon salad, they even cooked up a bowl of penne for the visiting 3 year old! The portions were huge, the food delighted our taste buds and the prices were extremely reasonable for the quality and potion! The cupcakes were the perfect compliment to the great food! I would not hesitate to recommend Harold Square to anyone! I will be returning on my next visit and can see this becoming a must go place every time I return to my home state!

Quite possibly the WORST customer service in existence. Went in the store and found a lovely jacket by Laundry, but was told there was none in my size; however, there were some online that could be ordered. Called the store to get a product number and have now spent over 45 minutes being bounced around from person to person, hung up on 3 times, repeatedly put on hold, and otherwise treated like garbage. This after spending a ridiculous amount of money shopping there the day before. Customer satisfaction/appreciation? ZERO! Will be returning everything I bought from there as a result of such horrendous customer treatment. Terrible, shameful, and downright disgusting!

I bought a Tommy H polo shirt I was going to wear immediately to work on 05/10/16 at about 11:30 am. I checked it out at the Kate Spade handbag department resulting in the alarm not being taken off because the cashier was too busy having a side conversation with a maintaince employee.. I was suspended from work because of My appearance (alarm on polo shirt). I contacted the executive office at Herald Square to be told that i would receive a phone call from the manager of operations within 24 hrs. Its been 4 days (96 hrs) since then and when i try calling back the line just collapses .

Historic and cinematic landmark of New York City (made famous by Miracle on 34th Street) with elaborate window and in-store displays and many helpful associates. Will always find a Santa here in December. The historic toy store FAO Schwarz no longer exists, and Macy’s has their own big piano (as made famous by the movie Big with Tom Hanks). However, it is always crowded with some kind of ongoing construction. Regardless of the tourism here, it is easy to be lost shopping in this enormous department store, and there’s also always sales at a few brands.

“Food hall” My friend and i went to New York for a long weekend to celebrate our birthdays. Neither of us had been to New York before, we thought we would look round Macys which was outstanding or so we thought until we decided to stop for coffee and cake in Big Piano food court. As we were sitting enjoying a chat a mouse ran across the coffee shop over my foot. We couldnt believe what we saw, reported it to waitress. That ended our trip in Macys we were both disgusted that this would happen in such a high class store. Visited January 2017

Well I’m usually a huge Macy’s fan...but I was expecting more from this location. The place is huge and well stocked, but I left empty handed except... I did find my husband a hard to find size in jeans but they only had one pair out of all the areas I looked (yay Tommy Hillfiger)...32x34...I was hoping that in nyc they would have more options for tall thin dudes. Anyhoo... And being on the curvy side, I was disappointed in the selection for myself. I spent hours there and nobody offered to help me and nothing fit well.

Crowded, understaffed. I went to try something on and even though the was 8 changing rooms all but one were locked out. So waited forever to try on a shirt and not once did anyone offer to help me find anything, and then when I went to check out, most registers were closed so lines to check out. I ended up leaving my shirt as it was just too much trouble. I did go by the fragrance dept which was very attentive, I ended up getting a bottle of cologne. Good selection but just too much waiting overall..

A friend of mine needed to get an outfit for a last minute wedding and met Clifford. Clifford took more than enough time and care to help select each item with him, walked him all over the store to ensure he saw all of his options. After leaving happy with his purchase, he received a text from Clifford to wish him a good evening and the opportunity to communicate with him directly for his next event. Overall my friend saved money, time and was able to leave the store satisfied and prepared.

Pushy hectic staff trying to sell their products. Customer counter on floor M hard to find. the Lady there could not answer my enquiries and made no effort to find out if they sell certain labels. Did I miss the foodhall like the have in Herrolds in London or the KAdewe in Berlin? Compare to this 2 european malls Macy has less style. Definetly Macy Staff have no proper dress code and looked a bit unproffesional

Herald Square is a very busy shopping center (though not nearly as crowded as Times Square). I do shop in this area from time to time since it has a good selection of stores. Additionally, there are sometimes special events that go on on Broadway in this area and in the "park" there. The park is a small area with some trees and chairs and tables.

Outstanding department store in a great location. One million square feet of shopping. Terrific visual and when you need a break excellent restaurants, snack areas with named brands serving you. Plenty of friendly knowledgeable sales associates. Conveniently accessed by mass transit from in or out of the City. An experience not to be missed.

Coming from Australia on a vacation with high expectations. But when you ask how expensive something was,,, they told me to use the price machine! If you are American you have to deal with this everyday. But in Australia this is unacceptable and will get you fired for doing this. I guess the minimum wage is much lower over there.

“Shoppers paradise!! ” What not to like about Macys?!! They have a huge variety of goods for sale and visitors even get a 10% discount (go to visitors centre for this) we got loads of bargains and the staff were all so helpful (in particular Kevin on menswear). I also booked a timed slot for santa land for my son and this was...

Whilst this is definitely a place to visit on a shopping trip to New York, and one of the best and most iconic mid range department stores in Manhattan, I personally found it a very dull experience and the staff are very slow at processing purchases. The quality of customer service is really lacking here unfortunately.

This store is huge! Luckily, the departments are separated by floor. Was looking for a pair of suspenders and happy to find a broad selection available. The Halloween display at the entrance was quite impressive, but the Christmas display is the real showstopper (we visited last year and took lots of great photos!

At this point I think its the best place for ¨deals¨ shopping in the city. It has better deals than Century 21, as the store is much larger, less suffocatingly packed and has all the top brands with more recent trends. Also with like 9 floors of stuff, I think its the place where you will find most everything.

First time ever visiting the flagship store. It was a large building but it was a bit confusing. Shoppers were everywhere & the bathroom was a long walk from the front of the store to the back. The elevators were large but was full of people. I liked the store but not a place that I would visit for shopping.

It was so hard getting someone on the phone in this store to find out if the had the dress is was looking for. After several frustrating calls, I walked in and met Susan who is a fashion stylist! She was a saving grace. Found the dress and ordered it for me. The four stars are really for her!

Badly signposted shop. The lifts were always busy and only to certain floors so staff would never let u use them. Exits were few and far between once upstairs. If there was a fire in that place u would never get out know time there are sways queues for the escalators and exits. I totally hated it.

The largest and most conveniently located department store in Manhattan. Great selection for Men, Women, Boys and Girls clothing and accessories. As well as cosmetics, furniture, and anything else you’d need for your home. All-around great store. Iconic and definitely a must-see attraction of NYC!

Sorry so much of the original historical architecture on the main level has been thwarted to look like the rest of the brand. I am glad some of the original wooden escalators are still in action. I love what they have done to the basement. VERY easy to shop and maneuver in and out of the store.

“Everything in one store..” What a department store.... 8 floors and every item you could think of is in here.. Santa and the elves were on the top floor when we visited and it was rammed full of people... The store is beautifully decorated and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

A trip to New York would not be complete without a visit here. The Spring flower festival was on when we were there and the displays were fantastic. Its difficult to say how much they actually sell as most of the people there were tourists like ourselves who really only came to look.

Always shopped here B/c I always worked near here. They sell everything and makes it really difficult to shop at other locations after frequenting here due to the available selection. The store looks great after all the renovations and staff seems much more helpful. Always crowded.

A fabulous range of concessions as well as Macys own brand. I went to the customer services desk and got an international visitor discount pass which gave me 10% off my purchases (excludes luxury items though) worth asking for and definately worth visiting just for the experience

This is the place to get a good look at what department stores used to be like in history...before they are all gone. Right along with the original wooden escalators. Immense size. Stand around and listen closely and you can hear the walls wishing that Amazon never existed...

Amazing building! Here you will find a broad variety of clothes (woman -including maternity-, man, kids), appliances, bedding, spots to eat, have coffee and buy chocolate and a lot more! Besides, there are several brands (Tommy Hilfigher, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, etc.).

Very good store. However they constantly move things around, sometimes you have to go to a different floor to find dresses/coats. Also, some employees do not always know where some items are. I would go there earlier when the store just opens and preferably on weekdays.

As a kid I loved to visit here during the holidays. With the expansion of great online suppliers and deeper discounts the instore experience is not the same. The challenge of dealing with crowds and staff that is less than enthusiastic my preference is online shopping.

The ICON of NYC retail. Fun store to visit and explore. High quality merch and often has excellent sales. Variety of food choices inside the store as well. Staff is about 60/40, friendly/not at all friendly. If you are visiting NYC, plan at least a couple hours here.

Even though it may be near impossible to get through the crowd especially so during the festive season, you definitely want to drop by this place during Christmas season to enjoy the beautifully designed window displays. I can only say, I was super blown away.

Went there yesterday 21 March 17. Lots and lots of staff, pity they dont wish to talk to customers, only themselves. Bought something in the Mens Active section and had to interuppt two females conversation to take my money. She then had a very sour manner!

Their shoe selection is usually fairly organized. For me, this usually indicates how well the store is organized in all other departments. The fact that this location takes their time in organizing and assigns Sales Rep during shoe sales is perfect idea!
