They claim they have a "fresh start" credit program, nothing! First told me they were going to approve my app, then spoke to a nasty, sarcastic "loan officer" who laughed at me on the phone stating, I would never get credit and then started preaching to me that there was no difference between a loan and a credit card! Then she hung up on me and blamed it on having "problem connections" They act like they are the only ones who grant credit! So lucky there are "real" people who tried and help me and even told me they would manually input my application to make sure it gets approved even if it automatically gets declined because they see I already proven my credit worthiness! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, putting you down and embarrassing you after getting your hopes up and telling you would get approved.

It took the Equity Loan application guy, Carlos F., more than 2 months to complete my application. He did not know how to read, analyze or organize forms and information I emailed him. He did not know how to even calculate proper credit/debt ratio. It took him over a week to reply to email or phone messages. He loved sending out Adverse Action Notices, even before reading emails I sent. It finally happened when we contacted his manager. If you had to do business with DCU, ask to work with someone else and try to avoid Carlos F.
Excellent, service-oriented bank, with friendly people and great online services. I have been a satisfied customer for more than 30 years.
